AEW is making wins and losses matter like never before in pro wrestling. They are listing win/loss records during entrances and on their stars’ profiles on the official AEW website. Those stats won’t last forever.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter clarified Nick Jackson’s statement about how the win/loss records will be reset. It is noted that AEW will keep “career records,” but they will reset everyone’s scores when the new year rolls around.

Regarding the win-loss records, the career records will always exist but there will also be annual season records. The new season will start in January and last throughout the year and the same thing would happen in 2021.

It was noted that AEW stars will be able to have bad years, but once the new calendar year rolls around then they get a clean slate. That being said, even someone with an amazing record will get their wins taken away and forced to start with zero. This could be very interesting, but we’ll just have to see how AEW handles this idea on Dynamite.
