CM Punk’s Current UFC Status

WWE Backstage had a big surprise for fans last night when CM Punk showed up when nobody expected him. Reports were that FOX had moved on from bringing in the Second City Savior, but that obviously changed

Just because CM Punk is on FS1’s WWE Backstage show doesn’t mean he’s out of the UFC. He is still under contract and Fightful Select reports that he has submitted to USADA testing recently as well.

CM Punk remains in the USADA testing pool, and has been drug tested as recently as this quarter.

There has been no talk of CM Punk getting back into the Octagon for another fight. He is currently 0-2 in the UFC after two losses, but you can never say never about him fighting a third time.

In recent months, CM Punk has been very involved with the promotion of “Girl On The Third Floor.” We’ll have to see if he fights in the UFC again, but at least we know he’ll be on WWE Backstage as a special contributor.
