The Young Bucks spent some time in TNA as “Generation Me.” They can look back at that time fondly because of the friends they made like Okada, but at the time it might not have been so wonderful.

The fact is that Nick and Matt Jackson were wrestling for a pro wrestling company that had a show on Spike TV and they were losing money.

Nick Jackson revealed during their Starrcast IV show that there were times when the Young Bucks actually lost money wrestling for TNA.

“It was the right deal at the time. We should have probably negotiated a little more because we were young and stupid.”

“The contract was so bad — I’ll tell you guys this — that sometimes we would fly to Orlando, we would have to rent a car, and we would have to get a hotel room and eat. By the time we came back from some of those trips we lost money wrestling for TNA.”

“Our deal was $300 per match.”

Matt Jackson worked a day job during the week at that time. He molded plastic and had to wear big gloves that went up his arms. Matt still has scars on his arms from where he burned himself at that job, but it was all worth it in the end.
