WWE officially responded to the issues that are keeping their Superstars in Saudi Arabia. It was apparently a mechanical issue and now over 150 Superstars and crew are stuck in Saudi Arabia.
Twelve Superstars chartered their own plane out of the country, but they apparently won’t be back in time for SmackDown. This ordeal apparently took 6 hours sitting on the plane before they were removed and sent back to the hotel.
When WWE officially responded to this ordeal they promised some surprises tonight on SmackDown since the Superstars that left won’t be back in time for the show.
As always with WWE, the show must go on. Live at 8/7 CT on FOX, SmackDown will feature Superstars, such as Daniel Bryan, The Miz, Carmella, Nikki Cross, Dana Brooke — plus, additional surprises.
At least Daniel Bryan didn’t go to Saudi Arabia so he’ll be in Buffalo for the show. Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin’s match might not happen now either. The same could be true for The Revival vs The New Day.
It’s a good thing WWE is used to re-writing SmackDown at the last second. Let’s just see who shows up on Fox tonight as a big surprise to fill in for the rest of the roster who are stuck in Saudi Arabia.
