Sonya Deville Wants In On WarGames

Last night it was announced that we will be getting the first ever women’s WarGames match at the upcoming TakeOver event, which as you can imagine, was a great moment for all fans of women’s wrestling.

Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley have been named as team captains for what is bound to be a show-stealer of a match. Whether or not they’re able to live up to the hype of past WarGames bouts from NXT, though, remains to be seen.

One person who wants in on the match is none other than Sonya Deville, who has been making quite a bit of noise within the WWE Universe as of late.

Courtesy of Sonya’s appearance on Total Divas, she seems to have shot up through the ranks of WWE and picked up even more visibility. When you combine that with her continued growth as an on-screen character, it seems like only a matter of time until she holds a title in WWE.

It’s always important to remember where you came from, though, and Deville is well aware of what NXT did to help her become the star she is turning out to be. In turn, she wants to repay the brand by featuring in the upcoming WarGames match.

It doesn’t seem likely that this will come to fruition given how many other wrestlers from the women’s division in NXT will be competing, but either way, the fact that she’s even considering stepping in there is a testament to her commitment.
