Possible Match For AEW Full Gear Teased During Dynamite

AEW Dynamite was an eventful show this week. New Tag Team Champions were crowned and a contract was signed for the AEW World Title match at Full Gear. We might have also seen the start of a new rivalry.

The first-ever contract signing in AEW history was interrupted by Jake Hager beating down Dustin Rhodes in the parking lot. Hager even laid in a knee to the groin to pay reference to how his last Bellator fight ended.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Hager vs Rhodes could be a Full Gear match. They need more matches on the card and it makes a lot of sense for those two to face each other down the line.

Rhodes and Hager could be a great match and a sleeper that might tear the roof off of the arena in Baltimore. Both were underappreciated in WWE and AEW is a fresh start for them. Dustin could also make Hager look amazing in the process.

We’ll have to wait and see when AEW pulls the trigger on this match, but it seems like they started this feud last night as they continued Cody’s rivalry with Chris Jericho at the same time.
