Shorty G Reveals Who Helped Him With New WWE Character

Chad Gable is now known as Shorty G. This happened after he just owned the fact that he’s not as tall as other Superstars. His story of self-acceptance is really getting a push in WWE and he might have The Miz to thank for that.

While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Shorty G revealed that The Miz helped him a lot with this new character. He not only gave him advice on what might work, but he also explained to Gable why what he was doing before didn’t work.

“Miz is someone who has helped me a lot. He started giving me ideas and explained why a lot of my really serious ideas weren’t working. I started to understand his vision, and now I’m off and running with this new character. I’m going to have a great time with it and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into it.”

The Miz has a ton of experience backstage in WWE. He really could transition easily into a producer assignment eventually, but he has years left in the ring. His in-ring style is also smart where he doesn’t take too much damage so he’s likely to have a long career.

Shorty G is very appreciative of The Miz’s words of encouragement and wisdom. Obviously something worked out because he’s getting a pretty good opportunity as a part of Team Hogan.
