Chad Gable is now Shorty G after a brief stint as Shorty Gable. That might not have been the first gimmick on his list, but Gable is ready to do anything to prove what he can do in the ring.
While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Shorty G said that he pitched Vince McMahon ideas all of the time. He would record his own promos and then present them to McMahon. He hated breaking up American Alpha, but then Gable had to show that he was ready to make it on his own.
“Vince finally realized, after me coming into his office over and over, listening to vignettes I created at home and reading pitches I wrote, that I’m not going away. I hated splitting up with Jason Jordan. He was my best friend in the world and we were having great matches.”
“That was the point where I could have rolled over and died or waited for them to come up with something for me, but I didn’t do that—I came up with a new idea and pitched it every week. They didn’t necessarily run with a lot of those ideas, but it showed them they’ve got a guy who is hungry and ready to make an impact.”
It looks like Shorty G has a great opportunity ahead of him. He is a part of Team Hogan at Crown Jewel and this could always bring an even bigger push to follow.
Vince McMahon reportedly likes Gable and the Shorty G storyline did receive a fair amount of attention. Now he is being himself and preaching self acceptance.
