Evan Bourne Character Returning To The Ring

Matt Sydal wrestled all around the world after leaving WWE and the Evan Bourne name behind. Now he is making a return to his previous moniker.

Due to WWE’s relationship with EVOLVE, Matt Sydal will wrestle at the EVOLVE events on November 9th and 10th in New York and then on December 6th in Livonia, Michigan and December 7th in Chicago as Evan Bourne.

EVOLVE explained how this came about in the following release:

Evan Bourne was one of the WWE’s most exciting stars. He was known for his spectacular “Air Bourne” finisher of the top rope. He rose to being WWE Tag Team Champions along with Kofi Kingston. Bourne’s last match was in 2013 and he parted ways with WWE in 2014. He competed as Matt Sydal, but the Evan Bourne name and persona was retired.

Bourne now wants to make a comeback. EVOLVE’s connection to NXT allows him to revive the “Evan Bourne” name and precision style that thrilled WWE audiences.

This will be a nice return to his former persona for Evan Bourne. You never know if WWE might take notice and eventually want him back after these EVOLVE appearances too.
