AEW Dynamite ended in a time limit draw when Jon Moxley and Pac battled to close out the show. Fans might not be happy with this result now, but there is a reason for this booking.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained why AEW is ending matches in time limit draws. In order for them to really put forth the idea that a match can end via the time running out the company needs to present instances where it really happens.

“To make the time limits mean something you have to do draws because if you don’t the time limits mean nothing. You have to do this to build this. The other thing you have to do is, you know you can do the two guys again and you’ve got a story.”

We’ll have to see when Jon Moxley and Pac wrestle again, but it’s likely that the time limit won’t run out on them. Then again, you really never know what All Elite Wrestling will do next as they continue to use a unique playbook.
