WWE is always looking to add new talent to their growing rosters. This includes referees.
OVW used to be WWE’s developmental territory. They aren’t really associated any more, but you never know what could happen in the future with Al Snow in control of OVW. One thing WWE did just do is hire one of OVW’s alumni as a referee.
Ohio Valley Wrestling broke the news and congratulated Stephon Smith on recently signing with WWE.
Breaking: #OVW alumni @StephonSmithWWE signed by @WWE as a full time referee. Congrats, we couldn’t be more proud! OVW…come train with the best. More info on classes
WWE has a lot of programming so we’ll just have to see where Smith fits into the roster. It is still unclear if or when Stephon Smith will report to the WWE Performance Center.
