CM Punk could be inching closer to WWE from the look of things. Reports are that he auditioned for a role on the new WWE FS1 studio news show and he is expected to get an offer.

While speaking to Collider Live, CM Punk’s new film “Girl On The Third Floor” came up in conversation. Then he was asked about trying out for the new “WWE Backstage” show which he confirmed.

It appears that CM Punk is simply waiting on a phone call about it, but he’s open to anything at this point.

“Yeah I did it. I’m very much in a position where, ‘Well come talk to me.’

“I’m open to anything. If they come to me with, ‘Hey we want you to wrestle,’ I’ll say, ‘um, I’m not interested’.”

This is a very interesting situation because CM Punk would be working for Fox on a WWE television show. We might see CM Punk talking about pro wrestling soon enough. The biggest question is whether this will encourage him to lace up his boots once more.
