The reign of King Corbin has only really just begun, but we’re already getting a few amusing moments here and there that, in all honesty, don’t really help to validate his reign.
From his ‘kingdom’ being destroyed by Chad Gable to the incident with his throne last night on RAW, a lot of question marks have been raised – which is a shame, because Corbin actually built up a nice bit of momentum for himself throughout the King of the Ring tournament.
As opposed to being dragged down by all the noise, though, Corbin decided to take a slightly different approach.
At the very least we seem to be getting some kind of a continuation of this feud, which can only be a good thing given how much potential there is in Chad Gable as a singles star.
Beyond that, though, we first have to deal with the upcoming Crown Jewel event that will be taking place in Saudi Arabia. That will almost certainly take some of the shine off of pretty much everyone that features in the match, given the controversial nature of WWE’s relationship with the country.
In terms of Corbin, we just hope that WWE can start to treat him as a serious threat once again. He probably isn’t going to win the world title anytime soon but if he is given the chance to take a run with a secondary belt, such as the Intercontinental Championship, then he could do a decent job in defending that title.
