WWE NXT Title Match Set For Next Week

NXT is putting on a huge TakeOver caliber show next week with every practically title defended. It will also conveniently be the night All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite debuts on TNT.

Matt Riddle and Killian Dain battled in the main event of the first hour this week. It was the final hour of NXT before the final episode of Suits on the USA Network. The winner of their street fight received a #1 contender spot for the NXT Title against Adam Cole.

Those two tore each other apart as they fought around the arena. Then once they returned to the ring, Dain hit three Vader Bombs, but Riddle kicked out. Dain placed a chair on Riddle and tried to hit another one, but Riddle sprung up and brought the fight right back to Dain.

In the end, Riddle latched on an armbar and Killian Dain tapped out. This sets up Matt Riddle vs. Adam Cole next week for the NXT Title.

Shayna Baszler is also defending her NXT Women’s Title against Candice LeRae while the Undisputed Era will defend their titles against Street Profits. If you add in the NXT Title match that was determined tonight then you’ve got a loaded show for October 2nd.
