WWE really doesn’t want their current Superstars going anywhere. This is evident by the fact that they offer them so much to stay. The company will also tack on more time to someone’s deal if they are unable to wrestle.
We previously reported that Jeff Hardy’s WWE contract has been extended for another year. This is due to the fact that he’s missed the last several months with to a knee injury.
Fightful Select reports that WWE Superstars aren’t really certain exactly what falls under the realm of WWE tacking on more time to their contracts or the qualifications needed. It might be something worth clarifying during their next backstage meeting.
The decisions in doing so have been arbitrary, with several talent telling Fightful they aren’t sure of what criteria if any are followed in implementing it.
We’ve seen WWE add on more time to Luke Harper, Dash Wilder, and now Jeff Hardy’s contracts. We’ll just have to see who gets time added to their deals next, but Sasha Banks and Rusev could logically be in the running now since they took several months off only to return later on.
