Steve Austin Closing WWE RAW This Week Wasn’t The Original Plan

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin showed up on RAW this week and he made two appearances during the three hour show. He opened the episode and then closed it as well while Smoking Skull IPA beers were passed all around.

It’s always great to see The Rattlesnake, but the second appearance this week wasn’t supposed to originally happen.

Sean Sapp reports on Fightful Select that WWE re-worked Steve Austin’s second segment on Raw this week because it was initially supposed to be a dark segment.

“Some were saying that the Steve Austin Show closing segment that was closing was originally supposed to be a dark segment, but got moved up to end Raw towards the end of the show.”

Closing out the show with Steve Austin was a big surprise and welcomed. It would be nice if he showed up more often and if Straight Up With Steve Austin continues to follow Raw every week that seems plausible.
