Cody Rhodes Teases Big Announcement

The big announcements keep on coming for All Elite Wrestling, with Cody Rhodes teasing that he will reveal something later on today.

Cody has been at the forefront of driving the AEW operations over the course of the last few months, and it’s certainly been going pretty well as of late. While they may not have quite as much momentum as they did a few weeks ago, the optimism is high as their TNT television debut gets closer and closer.

Now, the speculation can begin as to what exactly will be revealed by Rhodes by the time he gets around to making the announcement later today.

There’s nothing wrong with building up the hype, and that appears to be exactly what they’re going to do. Rhodes is well aware of how many eyes are going to be on the product, especially in the early stages of the show, but maintaining that is going to be the most important part of AEW’s development.

Their next big show, Full Gear, is only around two months away – and while that may sound like they’ve got all the time in the world, they will only have a month or so once the Wednesday Night Wars get underway.

Whether or not you actually consider it to be a war is a different matter altogether, but as long as Cody treats it like a war (and doesn’t take too many shots), then we’d imagine that’ll be the case for the rest of the main roster.
