What To Expect From CM Punk’s Starrcast III Interview

CM Punk is going to be at Starrcast III tomorrow and he will have a live microphone for an hour and a half. That could prove to create plenty of newsworthy moments.

411 Mania recently spoke to FITE TV CEO Mike Weber and he discussed how Conrad Thompson was able to pull a miracle and bring CM Punk to Starrcast III.

One thing that Weber made very clear was the fact that with Johnson asking the questions we are likely to see some “deep dives” which won’t encourage CM Punk to give multiple one-word responses.

“Well, Conrad Thompson’s the master negotiator, and he was able to reach out because he had such credibility in this line of work and negotiate a deal with CM. And we’re very excited about him being able to do that. I was not involved in the direct negotiation, that’s where Conrad excels in bringing all these fantastic people to the platform there. And we’re very excited about having him on there, because we think he’s a great draw.”

“I can’t wait to see it, he’s going to be interviewed by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, so it should be a very good one. CM specially picked Mike, because it’s somebody he trusts and feels comfortable with, and that goes a long way. If you’re talking with someone you trust and feel confident, you’re going to probably going to dive deeper and not give a bunch of one-word answers while being interviewed.”

It is rather interesting that CM Punk would hand-pick Mike Johnson to interview him, but they obviously have history with each other. Hopefully, we will get some good details that we never knew before as The Second City Savior has a chance to entertain fans before AEW’s All Out event.
