WWE is making a lot of changes in the next couple of months and it seems like they have forgotten to address 205 Live in the midst of everything.
SmackDown Live is moving to Fridays on Fox, but 205 Live hasn’t been mentioned as part of the deal. The Cruiserweights usually perform live after SmackDown on Tuesday nights, but will they move to Fridays starting in October?
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer addressed some things that WWE could be doing with their rumored third hour of programming on Friday nights. During that discussion, he brought up the possibility of 205 Live, but that show isn’t getting talk right now.
“It may mean 205 Live goes to WWE Network although a lot of people think 205 Live is going to disappear and it probably should because talk about a failed experiment, that’s a failed experiment.”
205 Live has a lot of very talented Superstars on their roster. If WWE nixes that show then it makes you wonder what the company would do with their roster of Cruiserweights.
It should be noted that Brad Shepard reported this was a possibility months ago.
They certainly have the funds to pay people just to sit at home. However, you would hope better for those Superstars who work very hard to gain our attention every week as they fight to get crowds to stay in their seats after SmackDown Live’s conclusion.
