The Club is now the Only Club that matters. AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson are now Good Brothers in the OC, but that name already had a connotation on television, especially on Fox.
The OC was a teen drama that aired on Fox from 2003 to 2007. Therefore, Brad Shepard reported on Oh, You Didn’t Know that since SmackDown is destined to land on the Fox Network in October, they actually got the network’s “blessing” before proceeding with this name change.
“A huge part in WWE getting the green light for the OC was due to Fox’s blessing. You may or may not remember the OC was their show. So yes, Fox which will begin hosting SmackDown Live gave WWE the blessing to use the OC for Styles, Gallows, and Anderson.”
The OC are probably going to be a force forth paying attention to for quite a while on the WWE roster. At least we can only hope they won’t break them up so soon this time around.
A few fans pointed out this similarity to the former Fox show when WWE introduced their new name, but apparently, everything was squared away before it took place.
