WWE likes to book things in advance and Vince McMahon even gave more hope that long-term booking will be more of a possibility than ever with new Executive Producers. Before they left Detroit last night for SmackDown Live, they announced a big return.

Detroit will host a taping of SmackDown Live on December 27th. This show two days after Christmas also came with two promoted matches. This will, of course, take place after the Fox move in October.

WWE promoted to the Detroit fans that when they come back for their next episode of SmackDown they will have two big matches. Roman Reigns was promoted as facing Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston will be facing Dolph Ziggler according to what was advertised.

December is still a ways away which is why it’s way too early to be thinking about Christmas. However, it’s interesting that WWE promoted those two matches.
