WWE’s relationship with Saudi Arabia is getting very interesting because they are now changing the date of their next show to coincide with a holiday they don’t celebrate in that kingdom.
Saudi Arabians don’t celebrate Halloween, in fact, there have been pretty disastrous consequences for those who do celebrate that holiday in the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia. However, WWE is still reportedly holding their next KSA event on October 31st.
PW Insider reports that WWE has moved the date of their next Saudi Arabia show to October 31st. They are also going back to the “Crown Jewel” pay-per-view name yet again.
This is a Thursday so that makes things easier for WWE as they are now live on Fox every Friday with SmackDown Live.
As of the first week of October, the brand will start their loop with a live Friday broadcast on FOX. They will then have live events on Saturdays and Sundays, with the exception being Sundays when there are WWE PPV broadcasts.
This is a very interesting change from November 1st to October 31st. The next event will be the final show they need to hold in Saudi Arabia this year, but that only checks off two years out of a ten year contract.
