Pro wrestling can be unforgiving at times and injuries always come at inopportune moments. Britt Baker competed at AEW’s Fight For The Fallen event, but she caught a very stiff kick to the back of the head from Bea Priestley. This kick rocked Baker as any kick from Priestly to the back of the head would. She actually ran toward the wrong corner to make a tag during that match.
It was reported that Baker suffered a concussion due to that kick and it was said to have been severe. During this week’s Being The Elite, AEW’s resident dentist took part in a BTW Mail Bag to give an update. Initially she had to avoid answering a question about her boyfriend Adam Cole, but then she was able to give us some good news.
“I’m doing fantastic. I feel great. It was a rough couple of weeks originally, but now I feel good. I’ve been in great care with AEW doctors and trainers. I’m following up with the appropriate specialists and everything’s looking good. I’m hoping to get cleared any day now to get back into the ring which takes us to All Out. Will I be booked? You’re gonna have to wait and see.”
It’s great to know that Britt Baker is doing so well after a concussion. Those can be scary situations, especially since it was said to have been severe. All Out isn’t until August 31st so if Britt keeps at it and progresses further we just might see her on the big show.
Nobody would blame her if she sat out of the event, but you know she wouldn’t miss All Out if she could help it.
