The Internet Reacts To Rey Mysterio’s Unmasking On WWE RAW

Rey Mysterio was’t able to win the Gauntlet Match on RAW this week to become the #1 contender for the US Title, but Andrade really rubbed it in after his time in the match was over.

Mysterio has lost his mask before in WCW, but when he came into WWE they put that mask back on and for good reason. The mask means tradition for Mysterio who is very dedicated to the lucha libre style. This is why it was such a disrespectful move when Andrade ripped Mysterio’s mask practically off his face on RAW this week.

Mr 6-1-9’s face was exposed for a moment before he was able to cover up, but the Internet Wrestling Community still turned out to comment in a big way. You can check out some of the best immediate reactions below.

This could very well be setting up a possible mask vs hair mask that we’ve heard rumblings of for a while. Andrade and Mysterio were once thought to tangle at WrestleMania, but that obviously didn’t end up happening. It’s not too late to get something going for Summerslam, but they’ll need to get going on the story.
