Becky Lynch’s star power seems to have decreased slightly in the months following WrestleMania 35, with her initial rise to prominence going hand in hand with her ‘chase’ of the RAW Women’s Championship.
Now that she is defending it there doesn’t seem to be quite as much steam behind her, but now that she’s got a feud she can really sink her teeth into, it feels like this could be where a fire is lit underneath her character once again.
Lynch will be defending her aforementioned title against Natalya at SummerSlam, with both women doing a great job of building up to the bout.
The expectation is that Becky is going to retain her championship and go on to face another challenger after SummerSlam, with some believing that she is going to hold the title all the way through until WrestleMania 36 – where a one on one showdown with Ronda Rousey seems like an inevitability.
Before that, though, we’ve got to see what Nattie has to offer in what could prove to be one of her final title shots ever as a full time member of the roster. While it doesn’t look like she’s going to be slowing down anytime soon, it’s rare to see WWE trust her with a title opportunity of this nature – especially at this stage of her career.
One thing that is a virtual guarantee, though, is that Lynch and the Queen of Harts are going to go out there and put on a show in Toronto.
