Jim Ross will be a voice of AEW once they debut on TNT starting on October 2nd. That is a date many fans have marked on their calendars already, but Jim Ross is anticipating that day as the start of a new exciting schedule.
While discussing AEW’s upcoming television show on Grillin’ JR, the WWE Hall Of Fame announcer explained how his weekly schedule will change with AEW’s new television show. It won’t be easy, but this is the reason why he didn’t want to stay retired either.
“That means that my life will change. I’ll be leaving my home here in Norman every Tuesday, Tuesday morning. And get to the site for our event on Tuesday. Have a production meeting Tuesday night, and then do the show live on Wednesday and come home. But that’s gonna be every week. There’s no off-season, as we all know. We’ve talked about that ad neaseum. So I like the Wednesday.”
Pro wrestling is a life of constantly being on the go and that applies to pro wrestling announcers as well. Jim Ross will be a vital piece to All Elite Wrestling’s on-air puzzle and hopefully, his voice will provide the soundtrack on AEW television for many years to come.
There’s no off-season in pro wrestling and Jim Ross understands that fact all too well. He might have a few more weeks of getting to take it easy, but the real work begins once AEW debuts on TNT which is something he is all too aware of.
