Mandy Rose On Lesbian Storyline With Sonya Deville

WWE has gone after lesbian love angles before. After all, Eric Bischoff was the one responsible for HLA (hot lesbian action) back in the day. It seemed like Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose might have been venturing that direction as well.

While speaking to Uproxx, Mandy Rose addressed the teased romantic relationship with Sonya Deville that popped up on SmackDown Live a few weeks ago. Right now it’s just a rumor, but you never know what could happen down the line.

“I don’t have many insights to offer on that,” she said. “I think there’s definitely rumors and stuff like that. But it’s also hard to say because my character is pretty sexual and pretty sassy, the way I am. So anything I do, it doesn’t really matter if it’s to Sonya or to anyone else. It’s just who my character is, so it’s hard to judge. But I guess you’re just going to have to stay tuned, right? You never know.”

We will just have to wait and see what WWE is willing to do to pop a rating. They aren’t straying from the TV-PG format, but it’s possible to pull off a storyline like that without making any violations of television ratings in the process.

The fact that she said “stay tuned” really makes us have to wonder if this is something we can look forward to seeing develop on the blue brand. Having Eric Bischoff as the new Executive Director probably doesn’t hurt those chances either.
