Kofi Kingston Blames Randy Orton For Stopping His Push A Decade Ago

Kofi Kingston is trying to be the best WWE Champion he can be and that includes taking on his past. Randy Orton has a lot to do with Kofi’s past and he’s meeting it head on at Summerslam.

Kingston brought up his history with The Viper during SmackDown Live this week. Because 10 years ago when it should have been Kofi’s time, Orton claimed to have used his political stroke backstage to stop Kingston’s initial push to the main event scene.

In a backstage interview after SmackDown Live, Kingston reiterated how Orton stopped his career just when it was taking off. This match is a long time in the making and could become very personal as well.
