Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman are the new Executive Directors of SmackDown and Raw respectively. They are just getting going in the company with their new roles, but it looks like the shows are going to change a little bit more as time goes on.
During Oh, You Didn’t Know, Brad Shepard discussed Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman’s new roles as Executive Directors in WWE. Although they might have the same job title, their jobs are very different at this point.
“Paul is involved in the creative aspect, he is. His role is different from Eric’s at least right now. Again, the difference is that Heyman’s been in the company forever and Heyman has still even been doing some helping with the talent before this promotion.”
“So, you know he’s more integrated with what WWE is like today and for Eric Bischoff it’s really been decades so he’s got a big learning curve from that standpoint, but obviously, [Bischoff] has the huge experience from a producer and an executive standpoint running a show for a major network so that’s where he’s really going to be a big help.”
Eric Bischoff had a small amount of input on this week’s show, but it will be a long time before fans really start to see a dramatic change thanks to Bischoff’s fingerprints on the blue brand. That is not the case with Raw, but then again, Paul Heyman had a little bit of a head start.
