WWE toyed with the idea that they might add another match to Extreme Rules. Then a decision was reportedly made that they had decided to leave it at ten matches. Apparently, plans have changed.

Shinsuke Nakamura beat Finn Balor clean this week on SmackDown Live. That was a non-title match, but now the two will get a chance to tangle in Philly with the IC Title on the line.

WWE made the match official so Finn Balor will defend his Intercontinental Title against Shinsuke Nakamura at Extreme Rule. We’ll just have to see if Balor can change his strategy against Nakamura because The King Of Strong Style beat him in definitive fashion in their previous encounter.

Fans will also see Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler in Philly. So now the Extreme Rules card is sitting at twelve matches.
