Roman Reigns is very aware of what is going on in the rest of the pro wrestling world. He knows that his old friend Jon Moxley is no longer Dean Ambrose for a reason, but The Big Dog is not worried about AEW.

WWE is a global powerhouse of merchandising and cross-promotional efforts. Therefore, it will take a lot to take them down if that’s even possible at this point.

While speaking to The Sportster Roman Reigns straight-up said that AEW is no competition to WWE.

“I’ll just say this. It’s all so new and it was what it was with Ambrose leaving and popping up over there… Competition? No, there’s no competition.”

“WWE, we know exactly what we’re doing. We have the best talent in the world. There’s no comparing, I say that with firm confidence, all the way from the top to the very bottom. .. We are world class all the way through.”

Reigns previously said the he and Mox will always be close, but they obviously don’t have the same working relationship that they used to. AEW is gaining a lot of momentum and have yet to debut on TNT. So we might want to revisit this idea of AEW not being competition for WWE later next year to be fair.
