Shawn Spears has made it perfectly clear that he’s coming after Cody Rhodes, a man many considered to be one of his closest friends, now that he’s a part of All Elite Wrestling.

Back when he was known as Tye Dillinger in WWE, many fans felt as if the Perfect 10 should’ve been given more opportunities to shine on the main roster. Now, in AEW, he’ll get the chance to do just that.

The expectation is that he’ll go on to face Rhodes at All Out, but that has yet to be officially confirmed. One way or another, though, these two are almost certainly going to thrown down either before or after AEW’s big television debut.

The way in which Shawn is promoting this rivalry on social media plays perfectly into his new character, although that doesn’t erase the fact that a lot of fans weren’t happy to see Cody take an unprotected chair shot to the head – which left him needing almost a dozen stitches.

As long as they don’t repeat that action during their match it seems as if they’ll be absolutely fine, but even if they do, most AEW fans are so engrossed with the product already that they probably won’t care all too much.

This is turning out to be one of the most anticipated matches that AEW could possibly put on, and that can only be a good thing as we look ahead to the continued development of this exciting young promotion.

P.S: Don’t kill him, please, Mr. Spears.
