WWE is going through some changes, but those alterations are not limited to the main roster. Road Dogg was recently added to the mix in NXT and he’s already shaken some things up.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that Road Dogg’s addition to the WWE Performance Center has seemingly taken a gig away from Mike Quackenbush. The character development classes were previously ran by Quackenbush, who is known from his work with Chikara and he has also worked closely with Alexa Bliss as well.
It is reported that all assigned Quackenbush students have now been given to Road Dogg for their character development classes. This is said to be a part of Road Dogg’s new full-time position at the WWE PC.
Road Dogg has spoken openly in the past about how his Hall Of Fame character in WWE was never really about the wrestling. His work was on the microphone and adopting catchphrases. He implemented a few character-driven moves in the ring, but he mostly focused his efforts on the entertainment aspect of driving his character home. Therefore, this seems like a good move on WWE’s part to allow Road Dogg to teach NXT Superstars in this department.
