Seth Rollins had a lot to say to Will Ospreay on Twitter last week as he defended WWE in a big way. During their back and forth, Rollins concluded things by offering to compare bank accounts with Ospreay. This is when he lost the argument in a lot of people’s opinion.
After letting it sit for a few days, Rollins sent out a lengthy apology to Will Ospreay. The Architect said asking to compare bank accounts does not fall in line with his values, but he’s not changing his stance about WWE being the greatest pro wrestling company at all.
There is obviously a lot of love for pro wrestling going around and Seth Rollins was just hyped up and full of WWE spirit at the time. However, comparing bank accounts was not the path he intended going down at all.
After a few days to sit on it, I’d like to apologize to @WillOspreay for the tweet I sent his way about comparing bank accounts. It was dumb of me & not in line with my values. The moment I pressed the send button I knew it was trash, but I’m too stubborn for my own good.
I stand firm in my sentiments that @WWE is the best pro wrestling on the planet and that I’m the best of the best doing it right now. After a helluva week of travel, our crew didn’t waver for a second. Top level humans busting their asses for the love of the game.
I couldn’t be more proud to be a champion with this company and represent @WWE and the entire industry in the way it deserves. No more garbage tweets. I can and will be better.
This was a pretty noble move on Seth Rollins’ part. He really seemed to mean his apology as well.
He’s proud of being a WWE Superstar as he should be, but that line about comparing financial status was a bit out of line. It’s nice to know that Seth Rollins now agrees.
