Paul Heyman is now the Executive Director of Monday Night RAW. This is a big deal as Brock Lesnar’s Advocate will now serve in a key role on the red brand.

Inside The Ropes recently uploaded a clip of Paul Heyman while on their recent Q&A mini-tour. In this clip, Heyman discussed how he wants to focus on long-term stories in pro wrestling.

This took place before his appointment as Executive Director of RAW was made official, but it should give fans an idea of where Heyman stands on this topic.

“I want to know where I’m going. I’ve never written the first page of a story and then figured it out along the way. I always write the end first. It’s just my training and it’s just the way that I see things. Here’s the finish. Here’s what we’re going to do at next year’s WrestleMania. Here’s how we close WrestleMania. Now here’s how we get there.”

Vince McMahon will still have the ultimate say-so about what actually happens on RAW, but beggars can’t be choosers. Because things are reportedly very bad backstage. Hopefully, Heyman being right there in a big role will help alter things in a more logical direction.
