Eric Bischoff is the new Executive Director on SmackDown Live. However, he won’t be in full control for a few more weeks while he adjusts to the new job. That doesn’t mean that he’s not getting right to work.
However, the plans for Bischoff’s attendance for Tuesday’s show in Texas might have changed slightly because Eric previously had other plans.
Fightful Select reports that Bischoff had “planned on filming his appearance with Afterbuzz TV Tuesday night.” It seems that those plans might have changed due to his new position in WWE.
Because PW Insider reports that Eric Bischoff “will be in attendance for tomorrow’s Smackdown taping in San Antonio, Texas at the AT&T Center.” It’s unknown if he will be appearing on television, but that is a plausible option.
The advertisement that went out in an email blast promoting Eric Bischoff didn’t necessarily say that he will be on camera, although many fans did interpret it that way. It simply said to show up and see how he’s changing things which could have simply been a nod to the backstage switch that WWE made very public.
Vince McMahon was said to have been furious about the email blast anyway so you never know if he handed down some pink slips due to the massive social media botch.
