Paul Heyman is now the new Executive Director of Monday Night RAW. This is a huge promotion in WWE, but it wasn’t easy to convince him to take the job.

PW Insider reports that WWE offered Heyman a deal to come on-board as a top member of the creative team when Bruce Prichard was brought on months ago. Heyman had previously been working on stories with Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, Alexa Bliss, and others.

Heyman was in a top creative role in the “inner circle” for a while without an official title. Now that Heyman has one we are all very impressed with the Executive Director role.

WWE has been pursuing Heyman to come on board officially in their corporate circles as far back as February, PWInsider.com can exclusively confirm.

It is also reported that “[Paul Heyman] and WWE have been circling around this deal for a long time and finally came to terms recently.” Now it looks like they were finally ready to make that announcement official.
