Austin Aries Confirms That He Did Not Quit WWE

One of the popular theories in regards to Austin Aries’ departure from WWE a few years back was that he was the one who chose to quit the company in favour of pastures new.

It came in the aftermath of a feud with Neville over the Cruiserweight Championship, in which the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion was unable to wrestle the big purple belt away from the Geordie sensation.

Now, though, a few years on, Aries has decided to once again reiterate to the fans that things didn’t go quite as has been reported.

It doesn’t seem likely that Austin is going to be making another appearance again for WWE anytime soon, but even with that being the case, the impact he was able to make in the aftermath of his exit has been felt by the masses ever since.

He did some great work with the company both in the ring and on the mic, and as we look ahead to the future, it’s exciting to think about what he’s going to do next as he enters the latter stages of his career.

Aries is a smart man and we can only imagine that a lack of available opportunities from WWE Creative had something to do with his decision (or WWE’s decision) because let’s face it, it’s been a popular story amongst former WWE employees as of late.

Whatever happens, we recommend you go back and watch his WrestleMania 33 showdown with Neville, because we tend to believe it’s spectacular.
