MJF Wants A Tag Team With Cody Rhodes

MJF has a lot of big aspirations as a part of AEW’s roster. He wants to become the All Elite World Champion and is very confident about that fact. However, he could always use a good partner along the way.

While appearing on Busted Open Radio, Maxwell Jacob Friedman was asked who he wants to share the ring with in AEW. He didn’t have a specific opponent in mind because he’s generally better than everyone. He did have a definite name of who he would like to be in a tag team with though.

“So this [question] is hard so I’m gonna tell you why it’s hard. My favorite wrestler on the planet and people are gonna be saying I’m kissing ass and I don’t care — it’s Cody Rhodes. Hands down it’s Cody Rhodes. It’s my best friend, it’s my mentor. I don’t wanna wrestle with him, I wanna tag with him. So my response to this is I would like to be in a tag team with my best friend Cody Rhodes.”

Cody is set to tag with his older brother Dustin Rhodes at Fight For The Fallen against The Young Bucks. You have to know that Maxwell Jacob Friedman is very jealous of this fact.

If Cody Rhodes and MJF continue their alliance on screen it could generate some interesting tag team action if they were to actually team up. You can also never count out the great possibilities those two would have in the ring as opponents if their union ever self-destructs.
