WWE’s next pay-per-view event is next Sunday. That means both RAW and SmackDown Live will be go-home shows this week for a pay-per-view. It might not seem like Stomping Grounds has received much of a focus with the Super ShowDown taking up much of WWE’s attention in June, but that’s what is going on.
This Tacoma event is not selling a lot of tickets. We previously reported that WWE was having a hard time and now they’re resorting to cutting deals on tickets as Dave Meltzer discussed on Wrestling Observer Radio.
“Look at the pay-per-view in Tacoma, they’re having to give away tickets. I mean they’re doing two-for-one tickets. They’re blocking off all kinds of places [in the Tacoma Dome] so you know, two tickets for $20 for a pay-per-view — unheard of. I mean, when’s the last time that happened for a WWE show?”
WWE might not have given Stomping Grounds the focus they need in order to sell out the event. Hopefully, they will at least be able to generate enough interest in Stomping Grounds to make fans tune into the WWE Network.
However, if you live in the Tacoma Washington area then you can now get two tickets to see the events live and in person for the price of two months worth of a WWE Network subscription.
