SPOILER: First Ever Match Takes Place At NXT Television Tapings

NXT has seen a lot of great firsts in the history of the brand and another big event took place during the latest set of television tapings.

Io Shirai got another shot at Shayna Baszler and her NXT Women’s Title at the recent television tapings. This was a very special match because it took place in a cage.

This marks the first women’s cage match in NXT history and these two capped off the entire television tapings.

This match got very intense including a moonsault off the top of the cage from Io onto Shayna. The crowd was very into this match as the two took each other to the limit.

In the end, Shayna Baszler retained her title against Io Shirai once again. However, Shayna didn’t win by pinfall or submission because the NXT Women’s Champion ended up keeping her title thanks to being able to simply escape the cage.

Hopefully, this is just the second of three planned matches between those two. Because the NXT Universe could probably use a three part series out of this rivalry.
