Sasha Banks Receives Unofficial Invitation To Wrestle In AEW

Sasha Banks brought a lot of attention to herself when she re-introduced herself on social media as Mercedes. This was followed by changing up her name on Instagram as well.

Current Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie commented on Banks’ photo to say that The Boss is “stunning.” This was followed by Mercedes answering back with: “Thank you pretty! Let’s wrestle.”

Taya replied with a devil emoji and the simple phrase: “Name the time and place.”

Banks didn’t respond to this, but Britt Baker was obviously lurking in on this conversation because the AEW star chimed in saying: “I know a place…”

This is very interesting considering everything going on in not only the pro wrestling landscape, but Sasha Banks’ trials with WWE. She met with Vince McMahon last week and is supposed to return eventually, but it hasn’t happened yet.

Baker might be graciously extending the offer, but it’s unlikely that WWE and Impact Wrestling would agree. After all, Impact Wrestling told Brian Cage that he couldn’t perform at Double Or Nothing when he was backstage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena ready to go and WWE famously doesn’t lend their Superstars out.

Perhaps we’ll have to wait for certain contracts to run out, but AEW seems to be the place where a lot of matches could go down that once seemed impossible.
