WWE has a lot of problems right now and if Jon Moxley’s recent interviews have shown anything it’s that the company has a problem with streamlining communication during the creative process.
While speaking to Busted Open Radio, Mick Foley discussed Vince McMahon’s tactic for booking RAW. He said that the announce team will be waiting until just before the show for their notes which generally comes just before things kick off for the live broadcast.
He said that Vince McMahon enjoys the environment he has created backstage in WWE where he can “fly by the seat of his pants.” However, it is becoming even more evident that fans might not agree as much.
“Believe it or not, Vince revises things as they go. I see Renee [Young] and Corey [Graves] 30 minutes before the show and they’re just waiting for the matches. [They said] ‘they’re still in a meeting.’ Vince thrives on ‘flying by the seat of his pants’ instead of asking someone for directions. Vince enjoys that.”
We will have to wait and see if things improve. There used to be a lot more people watching WWE RAW than there is now. Therefore, things need to certainly change soon enough.
In the meantime, at least it seems that Vince McMahon is enjoying himself as he runs RAW and SmackDown Live by constantly changing things throughout the day as he maintains total control of WWE’s product.
