As seen on Sky Bet, the betting odds for Matt Riddle vs Roderick Strong at NXT TakeOver: XXV have been released.

It’s not exactly a secret at this stage that Matt Riddle is on his way towards the top of the card in NXT, and rightly so. Since coming through the doors of WWE he has been an absolute joy to watch, continuing his fine form from the independent scene.

The expectation is that he will become a world champion one day, but as is the case with most stars of his nature, he’s on the slow build as opposed to being shoved right into the world title picture. Case in point: he’ll be facing Roderick Strong this weekend.

Matt Riddle is currently the overwhelming 3/10 favourite to walk out of TakeOver with the win, whereas Strong is currently a distant 12/5 underdog with the bookies.

It makes all the sense in the world for NXT to keep pushing someone like Riddle, because he’s progressively getting better with each and every passing week. It won’t be long until he is challenging for the NXT Title, and that’s almost a given at this stage.

Strong, on the other hand, seems to have kind of slipped under the radar in the last few months. It seems as if they’re teasing the idea of him leaving Undisputed Era sooner rather than later, and to be honest, that feels like the best move possible for him. He has a great deal of potential as a singles star, and he’ll prove that once the inevitable break-up occurs.
