Lio Rush is no longer appearing on WWE’s main roster, however, that doesn’t mean he’s just sitting at home.

Rush updated fans on his Instagram that he is putting focus into his YouTube Channel as well as other projects which are set to be announced. He was also recently advertised to appear in a non-WWE event.

Maryland Championship Wrestling revealed that Lio Rush will be appearing at Jimmy’s Slamboree on June 1st. Of course, this is the date of the next NXT TakeOver event. So if Rush is set for a return to NXT it won’t be happening at NXT TakeOver: XXV.

This event is set to help The Bruiser who is currently battling leukemia. It is nice that WWE is allowing Rush to take part in this event, but they might not have needed him for anything else in the meantime.
