Sean Sapp noted on Fightful’s RAW Post Show that WWE is going with a grittier feel for the third hour of RAW. This means different color graphics and darker lighting.
It could also mean some more mature content depending on how things go because they want to make RAW raw again.
“So you may have noticed some changes in hour three. The lights were darkened. The graphics were changed to highlight black instead of red. That’s because WWE is looking to go in a grittier I was told more raw approach for hour three of the show that’s because of the viewership being so low.”
“One person backstage said this is another indication of Vince throwing everything at the wall and trying to see what sticks and I mean we’re talking wild cards and floating stuff and new titles and all kinds of different stuff.”
It seems like Vince McMahon is going to try anything at this point. The 24/7 Title and darker graphics in hour three might only be the tip of the iceberg.
We’ll see how things change or if they help things at all. WWE can technically do whatever they want with their programming. At least they realize that something needs to be done.
