X-Pac opens today’s show by talking about a disturbing incident that happened at an indie wrestling show recently. Over the past weekend Brad Anderson shot on Jacob Ryan at a show, and Johnny Fairplay, one of the commentators of that shows joins X-Pac to talk about the incident.

X-Pac says this was a disturbing thing to watch and he thought it was a disgusting act from Anderson. Ryan gave Anderson his body in the ring and Anderson took advantage of it. Fairplay notes that this certainly wasn’t a planned event, and it caught him off guard as well.

Fairplay points out that there’s a history between these two men. They were shooting an angle together a month ago and Ryan clotheslined Anderson’s son, accidentally breaking his rib. Ryan, being a good person, reached out to apologize but never heard back from Anderson.

Apparently these shocking actions were some form of payback from the incident a month prior, but X-Pac thinks that’s a lame excuse because even if Anderson was furious about that accident, he had 30 days to calm down from that. Fairplay points out that Anderson is an ex-con who did “real time”, but the promoter of this show likes giving people second chances.

After the events transpired in the ring, the promoter was angry and the other wrestlers backstage were furious. Fairplay rushed back and noticed that a bunch of wrestlers were ready to fight Anderson. The wrestlers told the promoter that they wanted Anderson out of their locker room right away, so the promoter had a police officer escort Anderson out of the building while he was still in his wrestling gear.

The promoter later gave both men’s pay to Ryan, but some people are suggesting that the promoter still payed Anderson as well. X-Pac says he has no problem with the promoter still paying Anderson because at that point you just want to get that guy out of the building and never talk to him again.

X-Pac points out that if the promoter did indeed know about this it was a terrible thing to do, and the guy should just exit the wrestling business. However, Fairplay really doesn’t think the promoter knew, pointing out that this type of event does nothing good for the promoter or his promotion. Also, it looks like Ryan will be pressing charges and the promoter will apparently be in Ryan’s corner during the process.

X-Pac speaks about his role on WWE’s “Holy Grail” documentary that aired on Monday Night. He notes that Tom MaGee came from the bodybuilding and weightlifting world and maybe never had the same passion for the business as someone who grew up a wrestling fan their whole life.

Regardless, Magee was a terrific athlete who had great matches with Bret Hart and Ted Dibiase, but when he was in the ring with people who weren’t at Hart or Dibiase’s level, it wasn’t pretty. X-Pac still thinks WWE left money on the table with Magee, because if they had him work with the right people for months and months he would have eventually learned the subtle details of the wrestling business.

X-Pac says he would have loved to work with Magee. He notes that Magee would have just had to listen like he did in the Bret Hart match, and everything would have been great. He would have started the match with a lock up, and he would have took a bump over the rope as Magee pushed him off. He did a similar think in the opening minutes of a tag match with Hulk Hogan one time.

X-Pac says he was very sad to hear of the passing of Silver King this week. He notes that Silver King was one of the few performers who was able to captivate audiences in North America, Mexico and Japan. X-Pac notes that since he still wrestles at 47 years old, the thought of something like this happening to him enters his mind from time to time and it’s a sobering thought.

He thinks it’s very important that every wrestling show has sufficient plans in place in the event something like this occurs, whether that be EMTs, ambulances, etc. If you can provide these things, then he doesn’t think you should be promoting shows.

X-Pac wasn’t surprised to hear that AEW will have a television show on TNT airing later this year. He says he heard rumours of this a while ago but couldn’t say anything. He thinks this is great for the wrestling business, and he sends a special congratulations out to his old friend Jerry Lynn, who was hired as a coach by AEW.

X-Pac is very intrigued by the new Bray Wyatt character. He notes that with a character like this it’s important that you go all in 1000% because if you don’t it won’t work. He also says it’s important that WWE follows through with this now and doesn’t cut it off prematurely.

X-Pac says he’s “dumbfounded” by EC3’s usage on the main roster right now. He thought EC3 was built for WWE’s main roster, even more so that NXT, but it’s not working out for some reason.

X-Pac welcomes Conrad Thompson to the show.

Thompson talks about his upcoming Starrcast 2 event, and notes that it was disappointing when Undertaker was pulled from that event by WWE. X-Pac says he wasn’t really surprised when WWE pulled Undertaker, but Thompson was because he had already paid a deposit, they had a contract signed and all the fine details were worked out.

Thompson also notes that he will have a panel with Tom Magee and Bret Hart at the event where they’ll talk about their famous lost match. He thought the timing of WWE’s documentary was funny, but notes that it only helped them because now more people know about Magee and more people have seen the match.

Thompson notes that putting off an event like this is a lot of work and sometimes he regrets taking it on, but after the first Starrcast he really wanted to do another one because he knew he could improve it in various areas. He thinks he has accomplished that and he thinks fans will have a lot of fun in Las Vegas at this event.

That sums up this week’s episode of X-Pac 1, 2, 360. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya next week for another recap!
