Lars Sullivan suffered what is believed to be an anxiety attack before he was supposed to debut on WWE’s main roster. He was set for a high profile feud against John Cena at WrestleMania, but that did not happen. Instead, Sullivan took a few months off so he could seek professional help.

Sullivan was recently fined $100,000 for comments he made on a bodybuilding message board years ago. It turns out that might have been the reason behind his initial anxiety issues before his main roster debut.

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Sullivan’s anxiety attack before his main roster debut was not a case of stage fright. Instead, it is believed that it was due to him worrying about repercussions from WWE after the story about his past social media posts broke.

Lars Sullivan can now continue his path in WWE with this issue hopefully behind him. The Freak apologized to the WWE roster and has since stated that those comments don’t represent who he is today.
