Paige Reveals Who Came Up With Asuka & Kairi Sane’s Team Name

Kabuki Warriors is the new name that has been given to the team of Asuka and Kairi Sane, and it’s safe to say that it has received more than a few mixed reviews from the WWE Universe.

Fans and media members alike have questioned the logic behind the name, and while the logic seems to be fairly clear given how they’ve explained it, we can understand why there’s still some confusion. Sane and Asuka are currently gearing up for a title shot against The IIconics, or at least, that’s how it comes across on WWE television.

Paige has been given the task of being their manager in a roundabout way, and has therefore decided to actually reveal who came up with the names (or gave them the green light) in the first place.

It was, of course, the team themselves. Both women are incredibly proud of their respective backgrounds as we well know, and if this team name was given the all clear by them, then fair enough.

The real question is where this team is going, because there are several different theories floating around out there. Some seem to believe that Asuka will eventually turn on Sane on go on her first heel run on the main roster, whereas others are convinced that they’ll stay together for a long time before any kind of break-up occurs.

Either way they both make for some pretty compelling television, and we’re excited to see where WWE decides to take them in the next few months.
