Impact Wrestling has a lot of very talented stars, but one of their most promising characters could be leaving soon.

PW Insider reports that Killer Kross is unhappy over his pay and creative direction. Now he is requesting his release from the company.

The 33-year-old star signed a multi-year deal with Impact Wrestling a year ago and requested more money based on his market value. This market value is calculated by what he is making outside of Impact Wrestling.

Interestingly enough, Kross’ raised market value is most likely thanks to the exposure that Impact Wrestling gave him.

Killer Kross has also “raised concerns about how he is being used from a creative standpoint, but the major issue that has caused the schism between the two sides is financial.”

It is reported that Killer Kross was unhappy with his pay and pushed for a six-figure guaranteed deal instead. However, Impact Wrestling’s point it that Kross signed a deal and agreed to terms at that time. He was also a “relative unknown” before coming into the company.

It is reported that Impact Wrestling countered Killer Kross’ demands with a “restructured three-year deal but that money offered was well below the six-figure per year deal Kross was looking for.”

Kross is currently being paid per date and he is looking for something guaranteed in the line of a salary because Impact Wrestling doesn’t guarantee any set number of dates per year.

Killer Kross turned down the restructured deal and asked for his release from the company. It should be noted that Killer Kross had WWE tryouts in the past and there has been interest from WWE’s side in him.

At this time Impact Wrestling has yet to grant Killer Kross his release and the two sides have remained professional this entire time.
